It’s reasonable to ask these questions. It’s also easy to conclude that people who live with a sense of entitlement will more easily benefit from the law of attraction. They have more resources, perhaps more time, better financial means, and maybe a higher education. It stands to reason that they are more likely to manifest their desires.
My opinion? Privilege can create smoother pathways. However, the Law of Attraction works on energy and is not biased toward those who have accumulated more wealth, education, or status. There are many people in these categories who would struggle with manifestation because the essence of the Law of Attraction does not cross paths with these things.

The Law of Attraction recognizes a person’s emotions and mindset, which are then expressed energetically. It operates somewhat on the principle of “like attracts like.” Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt happy to be there because someone’s positive energy felt infectious? Or the opposite—their energy was negative, stifling, or just unpleasant and made you want to leave? Emotional states can be contagious.
I used to work in New York City, where there were a lot of unhoused people on the streets. Every once in a while, I would gently say to one of them, “Have faith.” I didn’t care if they looked at me like I was crazy. I honestly wanted them to believe that things could improve for them. It’s not that I’m insensitive to their plight. Not at all. In fact, at one point in my own life, I had to work three jobs just to pay the bills. I know what it means to be scared, to suffer, and to question why I’ve been dealt this hand.
But I have since learned that that kind of thinking will keep me stuck. The Law of Attraction doesn’t discriminate. It requires a trust that the way this world works is on an energetic level. If the frequency you emit is positive, even amid strife, the Universe takes notice and can’t help but respond in kind … even if you are between jobs, ill, or unsure where your next meal will come from.
What helped me wasn’t blind optimism; it was a gradual shift in how I related to my circumstances. I believed in something greater, something I knew that was orchestrating my life, all our lives. And I knew that it responded to energy. So I took that faith, relaxed into my circumstances, expressed gratitude for what I did have, and trusted that God had my back. I remained proactive, not passive. And things began to change. Some money came to me, then the idea of moving cross-country, then a job in the editorial field, a spouse, a dog …
All of these things happened.

Manifestation isn’t about ignoring reality or pretending a struggle doesn’t exist. It’s about how you meet reality, how you think, act, and persist within it. Your mindset can open doors, but you still have to walk through them, and not everyone is standing in front of the same set of doors.
And maybe that’s the most honest takeaway: Belief isn’t a shortcut to success, but it’s a necessary part of truly taking good advantage of the Law of Attraction.
