I’m Valerie, a wellness writer, meditation teacher, and spiritual warrior!
I am here to share decades of wisdom in meditation, EFT (tapping), Ayurveda, manifestation, and self-care—plus my experience as a spa product reviewer—all wrapped up in a curiosity about what helps people thrive on a soul level.
Meet Val
I’ve spent years immersed in the wellness world...
turning big ideas into simple, feel-good practices. From meditation to Ayurveda-inspired living, energy work, spa product reviews, and self-care rituals, I blend ancient wisdom with modern life.
When I am not blogging, writing an article, or reviewing a spa product...
I am running my own editing site at The WriteEdit.com. I also freelance as a copyeditor for Hay House Publishing—the leader in self-help, wellness, and spirituality—so I know what it takes to deliver clear, compelling content that connects. My articles have appeared in Massage Magazine, The Writer, The Santa Fean, Bookmarks, and many more (see Published Works). I’ve worked at the world-renowned Japanese spa Ten Thousand Waves, studied at The Ayurvedic Institute, and hold a master’s degree in writing. My studies have led me to realize that wellness boils down to three things:

Emotions
Our emotions deeply influence our physical health, and until we address them, nothing will change in any meaningful way. This requires undoing harmful thought patterns surrounding our past experiences.

Energy
We are made up of energy, and lasting change must happen on an energetic level. Thoughts, deeds, and words all carry energy.

Beliefs
What we believe shapes our reality. Belief systems influence how we operate in the world. Studies have proven that a belief in something greater than ourselves serves not only as a comfort but also as a path toward greater overall wellness.

What is Ayurveda, and do I need to follow it strictly?
Ayurveda is an ancient system of wellness that focuses on balance and self-awareness. It is based on your particular dosha, or body/mind constitution. I share Ayurveda-inspired ideas in a flexible, modern way. No strict rules or complicated routines are required.
