Why Meditate?
Because our bodies are designed to move, and our minds are designed to stay busy. Meditation asks us to do the opposite—to embrace silence and stillness. And it is in that quiet space that we gain clarity, health, peace, and often the soft answers to our most important questions. The benefits of meditation are nearly endless, which is why learning to meditate may be one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
Benefits of Meditation: More Than You Might Think!
We’ve all heard that a regular meditation practice can lower stress, reduce anxiety, decrease blood pressure, and improve focus and mood. Thousands of studies support these benefits. But in my experience, meditation goes even deeper.
Meditation can take you into your subconscious, as far as you’re willing to go. Why does that matter? Because your subconscious is where your deepest pain, desires, fears, and memories live.
Have you ever thought, I’m not sure what I really want … or I don’t know where this chronic pain is coming from … or I can’t figure out how to let go of this fear? Your subconscious already knows the answers. Meditation is simply the pathway to access them. And the way in is simple: by getting quiet and still.

The Soul Level
Meditation teaches us how to operate from a soul level rather than purely from a physical one. You may have heard the phrase We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Through meditation, this idea often becomes something you don’t just understand intellectually—you feel it.
As you deepen your practice, you may notice changes such as these:
- Insight or guidance that feels intuitive or gently inspired
- Improvements in physical, emotional, or mental well-being—sometimes in unexpected areas
- A greater ability to remain calm during stressful situations
- A deeper, more consistent sense of inner peace
- Less fear and reactivity overall
- A growing sense of connection to other people, animals, and nature.
This is only a partial list of what can unfold when you begin living from a soul-centered place rather than a purely physical one.
During my training to become a certified meditation teacher, I learned about different levels of consciousness accessible through meditation. I remember my teacher describing a state he called non-local awareness—a level of consciousness that exists beyond time and space.
While meditation has led me to meaningful spiritual experiences, my focus is not on the esoteric. My goal is practical and grounded: to use meditation as a tool for greater health, happiness, and self-understanding.
I’m excited to share this with you!
